Technician 2, Failure Analysis Engineering (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform detailed failure analysis on defective materials, components, and products to identify root causes.
• Use optical microscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), OSA, ZYGO, and other laboratory equipment.
• Interpret analysis results, monitor failure trends, and support product reliability improvements.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions with engineering, quality, production, and other cross-functional teams.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and handovers of analysis status and findings.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
• 1–3 years of working experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Technical and analytical skills in failure investigations, root-cause analysis, laboratory equipment, manufacturing processes, and defect mechanisms.
• Ability to manage routine laboratory analysis and urgent failure cases with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Proficient written and spoken English for documenting findings, preparing technical reports, and communicating recommendations.
