Technician 2, Manufacturing Equipment (SMT)

Location: Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia; onsite shift support required

What you will do

• Support continuous production lines and maintain SMT equipment performance against uptime, yield, cost, utilization, and cycle-time targets.
• Monitor and report machine status and issues to equipment engineering leaders and engineers.
• Perform line conversions and complete FAI activities.
• Operate and support SMT machines including NXT, DEK, BTU, AOI, Asymtek, V510, VCO, and RBM.
• Support downtime reduction, utilization improvement, and MTBA/MTBF initiatives.
• Provide operator training, support improvement projects, and maintain accurate spare-parts replacement records.

Requirements

• Diploma, preferably with a major in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and SMT equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment, machine troubleshooting, alarm handling, machine status checks, and line conversion.
• Experience with machine and tooling preventive maintenance, report generation, and machine alarm analysis.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate and write in English.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and root cause analysis.
