Patent Attorney (Software & AI)

What you will do

• Handle patent, trademark, and design law matters across the full intellectual property lifecycle.
• Register and enforce patents in Germany and internationally while structuring the patent portfolio.
• Shape IP clauses in contracts with cooperation partners and universities.
• Prepare and conduct patent searches and participate in freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Represent the company's interests before external law firms, partners, and third parties in software and AI protection matters.
• Optimize patent management processes and strategies and contribute to broader initiatives beyond routine file work.

Requirements

• Completed MINT degree, particularly in electrical engineering, computer science, AI/machine learning, engineering, or physics.
• Comprehensive expertise in analyzing complex patent law matters and preferably other areas of intellectual property law.
• German Patent Attorney and/or European Patent Attorney training completed or in progress.
• Strong teamwork, assertiveness, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Fluent German and English.

• Knowledge of international jurisdictions.
