Patent Litigator (AI)

Location: On-site in London, Munich, or New York; candidates must be based in NYC or London

Salary: $150K–$250K base, depending on skills and experience, plus significant equity

What you will do

• Lead and build the patent litigation capability as the founding Patent Litigator.
• Conduct infringement and validity analyses across technical domains.
• Advise clients on litigation risk and develop strategic recommendations.
• Work with engineering and AI teams to shape litigation workflows in Charts.
• Translate litigation expertise into product features and support prosecution-to-litigation handoffs.
• Manage outside-counsel relationships and coordinate multi-jurisdictional matters.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an associate or senior associate in patent litigation.
• Technical background, ideally as a patent attorney who transitioned into patent litigation.
• Experience at an elite patent litigation firm or equivalent-calibre practice.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to break down complex technical and legal issues.
• Based in NYC or London and able to work on-site.

Nice to have

• Experience with both life sciences and non-life sciences patent matters.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools in legal workflows.
• Prior startup or in-house legal-team experience.
• Dual qualification or experience with cross-border patent disputes.
