What you will do

• Build and drive the transition to a new Data Platform using Dagster, dbt, AWS ECS, and GCP BigQuery.
• Develop custom tooling, monitoring, data-checks, and CI/CD to improve efficiency for other data teams.
• Maintain and optimize high-volume ELT pipelines moving terabytes of data from MySQL to BigQuery.
• Ensure data syncs are executed without impacting source system performance.
• Take ownership of the company's most critical reports used for executive board decisions.

Requirements

• Substantial hands-on experience in Data and Software Engineering with high-volume, business-critical pipelines.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Deep practical experience with Dagster, dbt, Google BigQuery (GBQ), and AWS (ECS).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals including CI/CD, testing, and design patterns.
• Knowledge of infrastructure setups using Docker and Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Business fluent English is required.
