Critical Facilities Technician (Data Center)

Location: Onsite in Dalton, Georgia, United States. Shifts vary by location; nights, weekends, and on-call emergency support may be required. Minimal travel between data centers may be needed.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data center electrical, mechanical, power, cooling, and environmental systems.
• Monitor data hall conditions and support total availability while minimizing operational risks.
• Perform preventive maintenance, facility rounds, corrective work, installations, and technical troubleshooting.
• Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage planned and unplanned work, work orders, rounds, and change management.
• Respond to emergencies, document issues, escalate appropriately, and support complete recovery.
• Coordinate with contractors and participate in facility training, construction, and commissioning activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in mission-critical environments.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic understanding of email and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to follow operational and safety guidance, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with ladders, scissor lifts, forklifts, power tools, and voltmeters.

Nice to have

• Prior military or technical school training.
• Electrical or mechanical license.
• Experience operating lawnmowers, forklifts, scissor lifts, and small hand tools.
