Lead Critical Facilities Maintenance Technician (Data Centers)

Location: Sterling, Virginia, United States; onsite at the Aligned Data Center

Salary: $48.00–$54.00 per hour, plus quarterly bonuses

What you will do

• Oversee preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, work orders, and maintenance schedules.
• Provide hands-on support for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire detection, and fire suppression systems.
• Coordinate technician schedules, shift assignments, paid time off, and shift swaps.
• Develop training programs and mentor maintenance technicians on equipment, safety, and quality procedures.
• Maintain CMMS records, inventory data, maintenance documentation, and internal program audits.
• Respond to equipment failures, fires, evacuations, customer concerns, and other emergencies while implementing mitigation and improvement measures.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of facility maintenance experience with expertise in critical facility systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor maintenance technicians.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
