Critical Facilities Technician (Data Centers)

Location: IAD-06, United States; onsite facility operations with day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts as required

Hourly pay: $35.00–$45.00

What you will do

• Monitor, operate, install, repair, and maintain critical and non-critical mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression, life-safety, temperature control, building management, access control, CCTV, and related digital systems.
• Plan and coordinate electrical operations, maintenance, energy management, preventive maintenance, and contracted maintenance.
• Execute MOP, SOP, ERP, maintenance work instructions, and change-control procedures.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Respond to fires, evacuations, equipment failures, customer concerns, and other emergency situations while overseeing contractors and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 3–5 years of experience supporting electrical or mechanical critical facilities, or 7+ years as an HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician.
• Knowledge of the engineering design and operational aspects of electrical systems.
• Ability to work overtime and extended 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Computer skills, including MS Office.
• Electrical or mechanical certifications are preferred.
