Facilities Technician

Location: Frederick, Maryland, United States; work involves on-site operation and maintenance of a 24x7 data center facility.

Salary: $30.00–$38.00 per hour, plus quarterly bonuses.

What you will do

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot critical and non-critical mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression, life safety, temperature control, and building management systems.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance and complete work orders in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Monitor facility operations, conduct property tours, and respond to fires, evacuations, equipment failures, and customer concerns.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, contractors, materials, change-control execution, and safe work procedures.
• Follow MOP, SOP, ERP, and maintenance work instructions while improving operational processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 1–3 years of experience supporting electrical or mechanical critical facilities.
• Ability to work overtime and extended 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to understand the engineering design and operation of electrical systems.
• Ability to evaluate and monitor safe work procedures for employees and contractors.
