What you will do

• Develop and deploy scalable AI and machine learning algorithms for patent intelligence applications.
• Design and iterate on multi-step LLM pipelines for patent claim analysis, infringement detection, and prior art search.
• Build evaluation frameworks with success metrics, curated datasets, and continuous regression testing.
• Develop retrieval systems using vector search, BM25 hybrids, and reranking for complex patent corpora.
• Architect agentic workflows with tool use, memory, and multi-turn reasoning.
• Optimize production inference quality, cost, and latency while monitoring data pipelines and models.

Requirements

• Experience shipping LLM-powered features as reliable production pipelines with monitoring and fallbacks.
• Strong Python skills and backend experience with API design, data pipelines, asynchronous processing, and observability.
• Strong technical background in ML and AI pipelines, ML methods, statistics, and the machine learning project lifecycle.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining data science products in cloud environments such as AWS and GCP.
• Experience with data transformation and analytics tools such as Pandas, scikit-learn, SQL, or Spark.
• Familiarity with database modeling, data warehousing principles, and SQL.

Nice to have

• Interest in patent claims and willingness to develop expertise in intellectual property reasoning.
• Experience with model selection, prompt architecture, fine-tuning, model routing, and structured output contracts.
• Experience working with long technical documents or biological sequence identifiers.
