Agent Engineer (AI) (Conversational AI/Python): Building and deploying tailored conversational AI solutions, APIs, integrations, monitoring, and feedback loops for home service customers with an accent on customer workflows, technical architecture, and rapid deployment. Focus on designing AI agent systems, translating business requirements into production deployments, and identifying patterns that shape the core product roadmap.
Location: On-site in New York City, full time
Salary: $140,000–$300,000 per year, plus equity and bonus

What you will do
- Embed with customers to understand their operations and deliver AI solutions that work from day one.
- Build and maintain conversational AI infrastructure, APIs, integrations, monitoring, and feedback loops.
- Translate business requirements into technical architectures and deployments.
- Identify patterns across customer deployments and feed insights into the core product roadmap.
- Operate autonomously in high-stakes, ambiguous environments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with backend or systems experience.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Familiarity with a major cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to work in person in NYC full time.
- Comfort working in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
Nice to have
- TypeScript or JavaScript experience.
- Experience with vector databases, LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI agent frameworks.
