Director of Product Quality (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Beverly, Massachusetts, United States. Travel domestically and internationally as required, approximately 30%.

U.S. base salary: $168,283.60–$252,425.40 per year, plus eligibility for a team incentive bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and execute the global manufacturing quality strategy across production sites.
• Own quality performance indicators including defect rates, rework, scrap, escapes, DOAs, and in-box and out-of-box quality.
• Establish workmanship requirements, inspection plans, quality gates, control plans, and scalable process controls.
• Lead root cause analysis, containment, CAPA, 8D, A3, and permanent corrective actions.
• Oversee ISO 9001-compliant quality systems, internal audits, factory readiness reviews, and process assessments.
• Build and mentor a global manufacturing quality team while driving Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, SPC, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or operations quality within semiconductor capital equipment or high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience leading manufacturing quality teams in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, manufacturing quality systems, process control, FMEA, SPC, 8D, RCA, CAPA, Lean, and Six Sigma.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate with technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, approximately 30%.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-mix, low-to-medium-volume capital equipment manufacturing.
• Experience in global manufacturing environments.
• Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ CQE, or ISO Lead Auditor certification.
