Senior Manufacturing and Supplier Quality Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Salary: $149,100–$215,000 USD annually for the Bay Area California market, plus incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing ramp activities and ensure FPGA product quality and reliability across industrial, commercial, automotive, and Aerospace, Defense, and Government market segments.
• Define quality and reliability goals, perform risk assessments, and drive manufacturing optimization and continuous DPPM improvement.
• Manage supplier quality performance for OSAT partners, including KPI governance, qualification activities, audits, and compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100D.
• Lead cross-functional resolution of supplier incidents and customer issues through root-cause analysis, CAPA, and corrective actions.
• Provide quality oversight for San Jose production test operations and maintain laboratory quality systems, including calibration, ESD, and environmental controls.
• Monitor post-launch quality metrics and integrate lessons learned into product architecture and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and supplier quality engineering.
• 8+ years of experience across wafer fabrication, advanced packaging, semiconductor assembly, and automated test equipment methodologies.
• 8+ years of experience with product reliability physics, failure analysis, and qualification stress testing.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification and 5+ years of experience working within ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.

Nice to have

• AS9100D Lead Auditor certification and advanced knowledge of aerospace quality management requirements.
• Advanced statistical analysis skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional technical initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
