Manager - Quality Engineering (Manufacturing)

Location: United States; site-based role in Beverly, Massachusetts, with responsibility for quality engineering groups in Beverly, Boulder, and San Jose

Annual base salary: $91,000–$247,000 USD, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Lead and develop Quality Engineers and Inspectors supporting site, customer, manufacturing, and supply-chain operations.
• Develop and continuously improve quality management systems while maintaining ISO9001, AS9100, and other industry certifications.
• Manage customer failure analysis, 8D investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Support new product introduction through quality plans, reliability activities, FMEA risk identification, key characteristics, qualification planning, and MTBF/FIT calculations.
• Oversee manufacturing quality, supplier corrective actions, audits, inspections, control plans, and process improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate quality training, ESD and FOD programs, IPC-610 and J-STD-001 certifications, KPI reporting, and communication with customers and senior management.

Requirements

• 10+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment and 5+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Four-year degree, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Must qualify as a US Person under ITAR requirements by providing proof of US citizenship, permanent US residency, or protected-individual status.
• Experience developing, training, and mentoring quality and manufacturing personnel.
• Proven experience with Six Sigma, 8D, Lean tools, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, quality management systems, and ISO9001/AS9100 certification requirements.
• Strong audit, analytical, statistical, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with frequency-control products, military standards, PCB manufacturing, SMT, through-hole, systems, or module manufacturing.
• Knowledge of reliability and risk management, Minitab or similar statistical software, Microsoft Office, Oracle, Microsoft AX, or Agile.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
