Manager - Quality Engineering (Manufacturing)

Location: Beverly, Massachusetts, United States; manages quality engineering groups in Beverly, Boulder, and San Jose. Travel: 25%–50%. US Person status is required for ITAR-controlled technology access.

Annual base salary: $91,000–$247,000, plus restricted stock units, quarterly bonuses, health benefits, retirement plans, and ESPP.

What you will do

• Lead and develop quality engineering and inspection teams supporting site, customer, manufacturing, supply-chain, and process engineering operations.
• Maintain and improve site Quality Management Systems, including ISO9001 and AS9100 certification requirements.
• Manage customer failure analysis, 8D investigations, root-cause analysis, CAPA, returns, complaints, and corrective actions.
• Support new product introduction through quality plans, key characteristics, FMEA risk identification, reliability activities, and qualification planning.
• Oversee supplier quality activities, SCAR processes, material assessments, supplier surveys, and on-site audits.
• Monitor production quality through inspections, internal and process audits, KPIs, training, and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Four-year degree, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• US Person status required for ITAR regulations, with proof of US citizenship, permanent US residency, or protected-individual status.
• Experience with Six Sigma, 8D, Lean tools, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, statistical analysis, and quality systems.
• Strong communication, analytical, independent-working, training, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with frequency-control products, military specifications, PCB manufacturing, SMT, through-hole, systems, or module manufacturing.
• Knowledge of reliability and risk management, Minitab, Microsoft Office, Oracle, Microsoft AX, or Agile.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
