Field Verification Officer

Location: In person nationwide across Nigeria

What you will do

• Visit potential borrowers’ business locations to evaluate business books, inventory, and turnover before loan disbursement.
• Verify residential and business addresses through physical site visits.
• Visit loan guarantors, employee references, and other relevant parties to confirm their awareness and traceability.
• Conduct customer, employee, and other KYC-related verifications using standard operating procedures.
• Collect and assess information from multiple sources, identify potential default or fraud red flags, and prepare accurate daily reports.
• Complete verifications thoroughly and within specified timelines, performing additional duties assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or H.ND. in a business-related discipline.
• In-depth geographical knowledge of the local environment.
• Strong attention to detail and simple and complex analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Agility, perseverance, creativity, observance, and the highest integrity.
• A minimum of two years of experience in credit risk or field verification is an advantage.
