Regional Collections Manager, Delta (Nigeria)

What you will do

• Analyze regional portfolios and repayment trends to develop daily, weekly, and monthly collection strategies.
• Conduct mystery market visits to assess sales quality, product issues, and repayment challenges.
• Design, pilot, and operationalize collection processes that improve repayments and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate repossessions, product-tampering reports, and actions against fraudulent or misleading field practices.
• Train and follow up with Field Sales Executives on collection calls and repossession tasks.
• Recruit cash collection centers and establish coverage for key collection areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar collections role, including field work with rural customer communities.
• Experience in microfinance, fintech, or banking, preferably in credit collections or debt recovery.
• Fluent English and fluency in the language of the assigned territory.
• Strong logical thinking, communication, problem-solving, issue-tracking, and resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively with sales and cross-functional teams; familiarity with the territory.
