TL;DR
Lead Engineer - IID Infotainment Integration (Automotive): Leading vehicle-level integration and validation of infotainment clusters, displays, telemetry modules, and multi-OS subsystems across electric vehicles with an accent on Android Automotive, Linux, QNX, HIL/SIL testing, and vehicle network communication. Focus on building Python- and Robot Framework-based test automation, maintaining CI/CD verification, debugging CAN/LIN/Ethernet interactions, and optimizing boot, power, CPU, and memory performance.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, events, and occasional travel are required.

Salary: $160,000–$192,500 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead vehicle and system-level integration of infotainment clusters, driver and center displays, telemetry modules, and software-defined vehicle architectures.
  • Integrate and verify Android Automotive, Linux, QNX, and other subsystem modules across multi-OS environments.
  • Develop test strategies for subsystem validation on HIL/SIL benches and physical vehicles, including automated regression testing.
  • Build Python- and Robot Framework-based automation, migrate manual tests, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build verification.
  • Analyze software–hardware issues, debug CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet communication, and optimize boot time, suspend-to-RAM current draw, CPU usage, and memory leaks.
  • Own system-level regression planning, requirements-to-validation traceability, power-mode and wake-up/sleep robustness, and integration support during DV/PV builds.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 12+ years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle E/E architecture, ECU-level software stacks, embedded systems, CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, UDS diagnostics, and diagnostic communication tools.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink plant and control models, HIL environments, dSPACE ControlDesk, and AutomationDesk.
  • Expertise with Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, and ALM/PLM tools such as Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Generation, or PTC Windchill.
  • Experience with A2B, LVDS, vehicle network tools including CANalyzer and CANoe, system requirements, and automotive development processes.
  • Ability to work onsite in Charlotte 4–5 days per week and travel for company events when required.
