Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery for a portfolio of strategic customers, including scoping requirements, sequencing delivery, and performing QA before shipment.
• Act as the first technical responder for customer accounts, triaging questions, managing delivery expectations, and escalating blockers when necessary.
• Represent hirify.global's technical capabilities while protecting proprietary methodology.
• Convert recurring customer needs and delivery issues into input for data-engine, pipeline, and annotation roadmaps.
• Codify effective approaches into reusable playbooks.
• Lead platform-integration engagements and model fine-tuning and evaluation services as the role develops.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience, ideally including customer-facing or forward-deployed work.
• Strong production coding skills, preferably in Python.
• Experience shipping and operating data pipelines or infrastructure.
• Ability to work with high agency and ambiguity while driving customer outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to engineers and executives.
• Willingness to work with customers, run discovery, and respectfully challenge unrealistic requests.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, embodied AI, autonomy, or ML data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with robot-learning data, including teleoperation, egocentric data, VLA, and robot foundation models.
• Experience with formats such as MCAP and HDF5.
• Forward-deployed or solutions experience at an enterprise or frontier-AI company.
