Forward Deployed Engineer (Post-Sales) (AI)

Location: Hybrid — 4 days per week in the Redwood City, CA office; travel to customer sites as needed, approximately 15%

Salary: $230,000–$300,000 base annually plus equity

What you will do

• Own onboarding, deployment, production rollout, stabilization, and adoption for strategic enterprise accounts.
• Serve as the primary technical contact and build long-term customer relationships across complex on-premises and hybrid environments.
• Design secure, scalable workflows across compute, storage, networking, distributed systems, AWS, GCP, Azure, and on-premises Kubernetes.
• Translate ambiguous customer requirements into concrete technical architectures.
• Build post-sales deployment processes and playbooks from 0→1.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Research to relay customer insights and influence the product roadmap.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of post-sales individual-contributor experience owning enterprise customer deployments.
• Hands-on machine learning and model training experience, including pre-training, mid-training, and post-training.
• Experience deploying software into enterprise infrastructure and owning the full post-sales lifecycle.
• Strong Python and AWS proficiency.
• Experience building post-sales processes or playbooks from scratch.
• Technical degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field, with the ability to turn ambiguous requirements into concrete architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP, Azure, on-premises or hybrid Kubernetes, or broader ML tooling.
• Startup or high-ambiguity experience.
