Sr. Director, Software Engineering

Location: Virtual US; must live and work in the United States. The role is fully home-based, with occasional attendance at company sites based on business needs. Remote work from other countries is not permitted.

Annual salary: $271,620–$383,460 USD.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop software engineers and architects.
• Set technical direction, engineering strategy, objectives, and measurable performance goals.
• Oversee software design, development, validation, debugging, optimization, release, and support.
• Manage resources, timelines, and deliverables for complex software initiatives.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, validation, architecture, product, and other cross-functional teams.
• Engage with customers, incorporate feedback, and communicate with senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• 20+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of direct people-management experience leading software engineering teams.
• Experience delivering complex software products through the full development lifecycle.
• Strong technical depth in systems software, firmware, GPU/graphics software, AI/ML software, cloud, or distributed systems.
• Must live and work in the United States; extended background investigation and position-of-trust checks are required.

Nice to have

• Strong C/C++ expertise and experience with device drivers.
• Knowledge of DirectX, Vulkan, or OpenGL.
• Experience with GPU architecture, compiler technology, runtime software, or graphics stacks.
• Experience with hardware bring-up, emulation, validation, and silicon enablement.
