Field Credit Officer (Fintech)

Location: Onsite in Lagos State, Nigeria — Agege, Alimosho, Amuwo Odofin, Apapa, Badagry, Ikorodu, Ibeju-Lekki, Ikeja, Kosofe, Lagos Island, Surulere, Ojo, or Oshodi. Candidates must be resident in one of these areas.

What you will do

• Identify and onboard viable businesses within the assigned geographical area.
• Engage customers to increase business account usage and eligibility for credit products.
• Review, analyze, and approve or decline loan requests using available business data.
• Visit borrowers’ business premises to evaluate records, inventory, and turnover.
• Grow gross loan portfolio and profit targets while maintaining loan performance and minimizing defaults.
• Monitor active borrowers, account usage, repayment performance, and credit-related actions throughout the loan lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum OND in a business-related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in sales of credit products at a financial institution.
• Demonstrable knowledge of credit risk analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Agility and perseverance, with readiness for regular physical business visits.
• Must be resident in Lagos State, specifically one of the listed locations, and indicate a preferred location.
