Regional Collections Manager, Ogun East (Nigeria) (Fintech)

What you will do

• Analyze regional portfolios and repayment trends to develop daily, weekly, and monthly collection strategies.
• Conduct mystery market visits, gather customer and field insights, and identify issues affecting repayments and product performance.
• Design, pilot, and operationalize collection processes that improve repayment rates and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives on product repossessions and difficult delinquency cases.
• Report product tampering and fraudulent practices, and facilitate appropriate actions through established risk processes.
• Train and follow up with field agents on collection calls, repossessions, and difficult customer issues; recruit cash collection centres in key areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, including field work and collaboration with rural customer communities.
• Experience in microfinance, fintech, banking, credit collections, or debt recovery.
• Fluency in English and the language of the assigned territory.
• Strong logical thinking, communication, people, issue-tracking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively with sales and cross-functional teams; familiarity with the territory.
