Maintenance and Facilities Technician

Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States; onsite

Pay rate: $28–$40 per hour, depending on experience

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment across the site.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, lubrication, and cleaning on pumps, gearboxes, motors, rotating equipment, machinery, and tools.
• Provide daily maintenance support for facility systems and production equipment to maintain safe and reliable operations.
• Develop job task descriptions, identify safe work methods, review work plans, and issue safe work permits when required.
• Train new employees on the use of tools and equipment and collaborate with production operators to resolve equipment issues.
• Identify design changes and preventive maintenance improvements while expanding knowledge in related technical areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Mechanical aptitude for repairing and installing manufacturing and facility equipment.
• General computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft software tools.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment and follow safe work practices.
• Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and repetitive motions.
