Maintenance Technician - Nights (Manufacturing)

Location: Beloit, Wisconsin, United States; onsite night shift. The schedule is 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM on a 12-hour 2-2-3 rotation, including every other weekend and overtime as needed.

Pay rate: $32.95–$37.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, rebuild, modify, and maintain production equipment, machinery, tools, and facility systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, inspections, equipment rebuilds, and special maintenance projects.
• Respond to equipment failures and document planned and unplanned work in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Maintain electrical, mechanical, steam, boiler, water heating, compressed air, gas, power distribution, chilled water, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, pump, motor, and instrumentation systems.
• Use root cause analysis, breakdown failure analysis, cause mapping, vibration analysis, thermal imaging, ultrasound, and oil analysis to improve reliability.
• Follow plant safety, food safety, environmental, regulatory, Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, hot work, confined space, and PPE procedures.

Requirements

• At least two years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Working knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to safely repair production equipment and facility systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, pneumatics, hydraulics, P&IDs, single-line drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements, and experience using CMMS.
• Ability to work the 12-hour night schedule, every other weekend, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Technical school training, trade certification, or college coursework in industrial maintenance or a related field.
• Food manufacturing experience.
• Skills in welding, fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, refrigeration, or instrumentation.
• Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and facility utility systems.
• Knowledge of NEC, EPA regulations, UBC, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
