Location: Onsite at the Space Structures Complex in Middle River, Maryland, United States

Base pay range: $27–$55 USD per hour, depending on level, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

  • Develop manufacturing processes for complex laminates, bonded joints, and large structural assemblies in collaboration with manufacturing engineering.
  • Develop methods for structural assembly, including setup, bonding, and fastener application.
  • Perform composite layup of complex laminates, including accurate placement of plies, inserts, and honeycomb core.
  • Apply advanced measurement techniques to establish reference points, verify drawing datums, and support rework and repair documentation.
  • Integrate mechanical hardware with high precision, including repairs, fastener upsizing, and drilling through carbon-fiber and multimaterial stacks.
  • Support other composite and integration work for hirify.global products locally or at required travel locations.

Requirements

  • Composite component R&D, repair, or maintenance experience in military or civilian equipment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Technician levels require approximately 0, 2+, 5+, or 8+ years of relevant experience for Levels I, II, III, and Senior, respectively.
  • For U.S. office roles, eligibility to access ITAR-controlled technology is required: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or applicable government authorization.
  • Ability to stand and walk for shifts of 8+ hours, work at height and in confined or awkward spaces, handle materials up to 25 lb, and work varied shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed.

  • Experience with core bonding and splicing.
  • Broad manufacturing experience.
  • Advanced prepreg manufacturing knowledge.
  • Resin infusion knowledge.
