TL;DR
Technical Program Manager, Architectural Elements (Robotics): Managing the discovery, sourcing, specification, design, and delivery of hardware devices and systems for warehouse robotics with an accent on engineering program management, hardware design lifecycle, and supply chain coordination. Focus on improving development processes, coordinating internal teams and external vendors, and driving on-time delivery of complex electromechanical systems.

Location: Redwood City, United States; on-site. Travel up to 10% and work may take place in offices, warehouses, distribution centers, and loading docks.

Salary: $115,000–$140,000 annually, plus potential equity, benefits, and other incentives.

What you will do

  • Establish, improve, and execute program management methodologies and processes for hardware development.
  • Track project plans, deadlines, deliverables, development speed, and design quality.
  • Coordinate engineering updates and project communications across internal teams, supply chain, product organizations, and external vendors.
  • Manage alignment among stakeholders and keep the hardware design pipeline moving.
  • Support delivery of new hardware devices and systems for robotics products.

Requirements

  • Experience managing complex software or hardware implementations and deployments on time and within budget.
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical or electrical design, industrial perception or compute hardware, AGV/AMR systems, or CAD.
  • Familiarity with the hardware design lifecycle, including reliability engineering, EVT, DVT, PVT, supply chain quality, and BOM management.
  • Experience managing geographically distributed project teams and third parties such as contractors, contract manufacturers, and vendors.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software design, development, and integration.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels and work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SolidWorks and NX.
  • Knowledge of automation, material handling, logistics, and distribution technologies and processes.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Japanese.
