Technical Program Manager, Supply Chain (Aerospace/Defense)

Location: Torrance, California, United States — onsite five days per week. Occasional travel to supplier sites may be required.

Salary: $110,000–$145,000 per year, plus potential equity depending on the role.

hirify.global is a vertically integrated space and defense company developing hardware for low-Earth-orbit missions, including satellite buses, in-orbit servicing robotics, and mission systems.

What you will do

• Own supplier-facing execution for space defense programs, including RFQs, purchase orders, supplier follow-up, delivery tracking, and issue resolution.
• Translate engineering and program requirements into supplier actions while maintaining technical ownership and schedule control within hirify.global.
• Negotiate payment, delivery, cancellation, IP, warranty, liability, inspection, and acceptance terms.
• Review supplier quotes, terms and conditions, order documents, and commercial proposals to identify risks.
• Coordinate with engineering, program leadership, suppliers, and operations on technical context, priorities, tradeoffs, and material readiness.
• Track supplier commitments, lead times, compliance risks, open purchase orders, delivery risks, and next actions in export-controlled and government program environments.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field.
• Experience in procurement, supplier management, contracts, supply chain, or commercial execution within hardware, aerospace, defense, robotics, or deep-tech environments.
• Experience supporting U.S. government, defense, aerospace, or Space Force-related programs.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, controlled technical data, supplier access risks, and foreign-person restrictions.
• Experience negotiating supplier-facing terms and translating technical program needs into executable supplier actions.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required.

Nice to have

• Experience at an early-stage startup, ideally Series B or earlier.
• Experience with FAR, DFARS, government contract flow-downs, SBIR, OTA, prime/subcontractor relationships, or defense suppliers.
• Experience with prototype or NPI procurement, CNC, PCBA, harnesses, machined parts, test hardware, or specialized engineering services.
