Technical Project/Program Manager- Automation (E4)

Location: Onsite in Austin, Texas, United States. Travel required up to 10% of the time. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $116,000–$159,500 per year, with potential bonus and stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automation projects across multiple manufacturing sites and business units.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies.
• Coordinate controls, mechanical, software, IT, engineering, operations, vendors, and system integrators.
• Manage requirements gathering, implementation, validation, testing, commissioning, and production handoff.
• Facilitate design reviews, FAT/SAT testing, change management, and project documentation.
• Communicate project progress and risks to stakeholders and senior leadership while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of manufacturing automation systems, including robotics, PLCs, SCADA, MES, and/or IoT technologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to align automation, control, and data-connectivity strategies with business objectives and assess financial trade-offs.
• Knowledge of manufacturing regulations, compliance requirements, and project methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or PMP.

• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Automation experience with system integrators.
• Experience with vision systems for guided robotics or inspection.
• IoT product architecture experience.
• PMP certification.
