Location: Carpinteria, California, United States; onsite manufacturing role with occasional travel and a day shift.

Salary: $110,424–$172,538 per year, plus bonus eligibility, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Provide hands-on engineering support, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for robotic and automated high-mix, low-volume production equipment.
  • Define, procure, and support automated filling, labeling, and packaging equipment, including statements of work, functional specifications, FAT, and SAT.
  • Lead and support capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects using project management tools.
  • Investigate equipment failures through root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare, execute, and support IQ/OQ/PQ equipment and process validations for FDA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with QA, vendors, contractors, engineers, and technicians on equipment, documentation, and compliance activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, robotics, automation, or a related engineering and technology discipline, with 5+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience with robotics and automation, PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, servos, and labelers.
  • Experience maintaining robotic and automated equipment and performing IQ/OQ/PQ validation documentation and execution.
  • Strong technical, project management, documentation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems and work in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of FDA QSR, ISO 13485, FMEA, DOE, SPC, Industry 4.0, AI, or predictive analytics.
  • Experience managing suppliers or subcontractors, DI water systems, cold rooms, or central monitoring systems.
  • Experience with CAD, SolidWorks, SAP, Agile, or electronic batch records.
  • Programming experience with Fanuc or Denso robots, Omron or Allen-Bradley PLCs, Cognex vision systems, and Zebra, Sato, or DataMax labelers.
