Staff Accountant (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Silicon Valley or New York City, United States

Salary: $158.4K–$228K annually, plus equity

Applied AI company developing foundational hardware and software for the semiconductor industry, critical AI infrastructure, and broader systems infrastructure.

What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Build and maintain accounting systems for revenue recognition, KPI reporting, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Document accounting conclusions and policy positions as the finance function’s operating precedent.
• Manage tax compliance, external due diligence requests, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Lead process improvements, systems improvements, and internal controls as the company scales.
• Build an AI-native accounting capability with human verification and judgment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience building an accounting function at a high-growth startup.
• Public accounting experience.
• BA or BS in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• High agency and willingness to solve problems across responsibilities.

Nice to have

• Big Four public accounting experience.
