Senior Accountant - Accounts Payable & Procure-to-Pay (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; hybrid work model for office-based teams.

Annual base salary: $100,000–$150,000 USD, plus discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the full-cycle accounts payable and procure-to-pay process, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, three-way matching, payment execution, and vendor master data.
• Execute ACH, wire, and card payment runs while maintaining approval thresholds, bank-detail controls, and fraud-prevention procedures.
• Partner with Infrastructure and Procurement on GPU, server, colocation, power, network, data center, and other capital expenditure activity.
• Apply capital-versus-expense classification, track construction-in-progress, support capitalized-cost roll-forwards, and flag embedded leases for accounting review under ASC 842.
• Prepare received-not-invoiced accruals, reconcile AP and related accounts to the general ledger, and provide audit-ready support.
• Administer Ramp reimbursement and corporate card programs, manage 1099 reporting, support tax accruals, and document AP policies and controls.

Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting experience with substantial ownership of accounts payable or procure-to-pay.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with purchase orders, three-way matching, receiving processes, and significant physical goods or capital expenditure.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting and month-end close, including building complete accruals with imperfect information.
• Experience with high-volume, high-dollar payments and a strong control mindset.
• Ability to build processes and documentation in a newly established function.

Nice to have

• CPA or CPA candidate status.
• Background in data centers, infrastructure, hardware, manufacturing, or construction.
• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting, capitalization policies, NetSuite or comparable ERP, AP automation, Ramp, Bill, or Coupa.
• Exposure to vendor financing or equipment purchase structures.
