CNC Machinist, 5-Axis (2nd Shift) (Metal 3D Printing)

Location: Full-time onsite in Hawthorne, California, five days a week, with very limited exceptions.

Salary: $30–$45 per hour plus a shift differential; candidates outside this range may be considered based on seniority and expertise.

What you will do

• Set up, run, and operate programs on DMG Mori and Haas 5-axis CNC machines for complex parts.
• Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings, and schematics under tight tolerances.
• Perform on-machine and manual deburring of machined and 3D-printed metal parts.
• Inspect parts using on-machine probing, micrometers, thread gauges, indicators, and other precision tools.
• Perform preventive machine maintenance and manage cutting fluid.
• Contribute to process improvement projects and improvements across the machining shop.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Hands-on experience with 5-axis machining and aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, or Inconel.
• Ability to read blueprints, part drawings, and schematics.
• Ability to use power tools, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds unassisted, climb ladders, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Availability and willingness to work overtime when needed.

Nice to have

• 8 or more years of CNC machining experience.
• Experience with Siemens controls, DMG Mori machines, CNC programming, or metal 3D-printed parts.
• Experience designing and setting up complex fixtures for precision machining of high-tolerance parts.
• NTMA machinist certification and experience with precision measuring instruments.
