Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer (Electrical)

Location: Torrance, California, United States; up to 50% travel may be required.

Salary: $154,000–$215,500 USD annually, base salary only; equity grants may be included in total compensation.

What you will do

• Drive supplier development, NPI builds, production ramp-up, ongoing quality improvement, and capacity scaling.
• Analyze engineering specifications and provide DFM feedback for transition to high-volume production.
• Develop process flows, identify critical control points, assess risks, and optimize supplier manufacturing processes.
• Conduct supplier capacity assessments covering equipment throughput, labor efficiency, and line balancing.
• Coordinate purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and provide technical support.
• Define supplier technical and quality requirements and implement process controls and PPAP for rate production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, process, or supply chain engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience manufacturing PCB assemblies, mechanical assemblies, or electronic assemblies.
• Experience with supplier quality processes, including PPAP, APQP, and first article inspection reports.
• Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9000, TS, AS9100, or NADCAP.
• Knowledge of statistical methods, including design of experiments and Six Sigma.

• Broad understanding of aerial systems.
