Supplier Industrialization Engineer (Robotics)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; willingness to travel globally to supplier sites up to 30%.

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Conduct supplier audits, quality assessments, and process inspections.
• Industrialize new parts and improve supplier manufacturing capabilities during production ramp-up.
• Evaluate and approve First Article Inspections and Production Part Approval Processes.
• Identify, contain, and resolve supplier quality issues through root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
• Track supplier performance metrics, including delivery, defect rates, and process efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in supplier quality, supplier development, or manufacturing industrialization.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, casting, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, PCBA, cable harnesses, and actuators.
• Hands-on experience with PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D, and related quality tools.
• Willingness to travel globally to supplier sites up to 30%.
• Ability to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and applicable regulatory, environmental, safety, and operational standards.
