FedRAMP DBA (Oracle)

Location: Itasca, Illinois, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and willing and eligible to undergo a background investigation, including Public Trust or equivalent screening, when required. Certain assignments may require U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent resident status, or eligibility to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

What you will do

• Own the design, implementation, availability, security, performance, and support of mission-critical hirify.global Cloud database platforms.
• Administer Oracle 19c+ environments on Linux, including RAC, ASM, Exadata, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN, OEM, and multitenant CDB/PDB architectures.
• Perform upgrades, patching, cloning, migrations, backup and recovery, disaster recovery testing, and complex performance troubleshooting.
• Maintain FedRAMP and NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 compliance, audit evidence, POA&M documentation, configuration baselines, and continuous monitoring activities.
• Implement Oracle STIG and CIS hardening, unified auditing, encryption, privileged access controls, MFA, and least-privilege practices.
• Drive monitoring, incident response, vulnerability remediation, Bash scripting, CI/CD automation, documentation, and DBA knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• 6+ years of enterprise or cloud Oracle DBA experience.
• 2+ years supporting an additional database platform such as Azure SQL Database, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• 3+ years automating administration tasks with shell scripting.
• Experience with regulated environments such as FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP; Kubernetes, WebLogic, CI/CD tools, and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• U.S. work authorization and eligibility for customer-required background screening are mandatory; some assignments may require citizenship, permanent residency, or security-clearance eligibility.
