Oracle DBA - Banking

What you will do

• Support the DBA team in migrating client, transaction, and related data from another system.
• Design, install, administer, automate, and improve Oracle Database services across on-premises, Exadata, and cloud environments.
• Build high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions using Data Guard, RAC, RMAN, replication, backup automation, and restore testing.
• Monitor database health, performance, capacity, and utilization using Oracle Enterprise Manager and automated alerting.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, migrations, and platform transitions between on-premises, Exadata, OCI, Azure, and AWS.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams on SQL, PL/SQL, schemas, indexing, database design, and operational documentation.

Requirements

• Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, patching, administering, and performance-tuning Oracle Database.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle architecture, internals, storage structures, optimizer behavior, administration practices, diagnostics, execution plans, and AWR/ASH analysis.
• Hands-on experience with on-premises Oracle environments, Exadata or engineered systems, and cloud database services.
• Strong RMAN backup and recovery, disaster recovery, high availability, restore validation, and operational resilience skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, with experience in query optimization, indexing, database security, auditing, encryption, access control, and compliance.
• Experience with Shell, Python, Ansible, PL/SQL jobs, or cloud automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL or other enterprise database platforms.
• Knowledge of OCI, AWS, Azure, or VMware and migration tools such as Oracle Data Pump, RMAN Duplicate, GoldenGate, or AWS DMS.
