Principal Oracle Database Administrator (TS/SCI w/FS Poly)

Location: On-site in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, USA

Salary: $167,500–$220,600 USD annually, plus bonus plans and benefits.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot RHEL 8.x systems supporting Oracle databases.
• Administer Oracle 19c databases, including RAC, pluggable, and containerized environments across physical and virtualized infrastructure.
• Validate backup and recovery operations with RMAN and monitor performance using AWR reports, database views, and diagnostic tools.
• Resolve database issues and product defects with Oracle support, product support, and development teams.
• Collaborate with onsite government, contractor, and subcontractor personnel as first-line support for deployed products.
• Apply STIG guidance, remediate vulnerabilities, update firmware on HPE servers and HP SANs, and provide detailed activity reports.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with FS Polygraph, currently in use.
• 14+ years of experience supporting Oracle database environments, Oracle RAC, pluggable and containerized databases, RHEL 8.x, enterprise hardware, patching, performance monitoring, backup validation, and security remediation.
• Expert-level proficiency with RHEL 8.x and Oracle 19c, including performance tuning, monitoring, diagnostics, and RMAN.
• At least one DoD-approved 8570 baseline certification at IAT Level II or higher for applicable DoD professional services roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD, obtain required U.S. ITAR or EAR authorizations, and have the right to work in the applied location.
