Hourly pay range: $17.31–$32.12 USD

What you will do

• Operate multiple polishing and generating machines for fused silica, calcium fluoride, and other optical materials.
• Read routers and engineering drawings to interpret part specifications and manufacturing processes.
• Test optical parts using interferometers, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and adjust processes to produce passing parts.
• Inspect surfaces for digs and scratches and perform machine maintenance.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Planning, and other teams while reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school completion, vocational training, or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer skills and literacy.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Applicants may need to be U.S. persons for positions involving controlled goods or technologies under ITAR or EAR.

Nice to have

• Experience sizing, grinding, or polishing optical materials using conventional or CNC methods.
