Coater Technician (Optical Coatings)

Location: Onsite in Boulder, Colorado, United States

Salary: $21.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on experience

What you will do

• Move optical components from cleaning operations through coating chamber operations.
• Clean, inspect, measure, and package substrates and coated optical components.
• Set up tooling, perform fit checks, load parts into chambers, and start coating runs.
• Read technical prints and process documentation to determine surface quality, dimensions, markings, and packaging requirements.
• Perform chamber-start checks, inspect normal products, identify defect types, and raise tooling or process issues.
• Handle non-conforming material and scrap procedures while following ISO, MIL, and final inspection requirements.

Requirements

• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• At least two years of experience in a process manufacturing environment is desired.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Work is based at the Boulder facility in the United States and involves ITAR-controlled information.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
