Fabrication Technician II (Optical Fabrication)

Salary: $23.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Perform optical fabrication processes for simple to medium-difficulty parts.
• Carry out beveling, standard and wax blocking, edging, milling, sawing, and continuous or double-sided grinding.
• Assist with lap pouring where required.
• Inspect and clean optical parts.
• Read work instructions and prints for basic dimensions and calculate measurements using basic mathematics.
• Use calipers, drop gauges, micrometers, comparators, measuring microscopes, and spherometers.

Requirements

• At least 2–4 years of manufacturing experience.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Ability to work effectively and contribute as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Optical experience preferred.
• Work involves information subject to ITAR regulations.
