Lead, Data Center Security Delivery (Construction to Operations)

Location: Remote-friendly with travel required; San Francisco, California. Staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Own physical security delivery across data center campuses from groundbreaking through construction, commissioning, acceptance, and handover.
• Deliver temporary site security, contractor vetting and access controls, equipment protection, and coordination with general contractors and site teams.
• Define security acceptance criteria and manage FAT/SAT events, punch lists, commissioning gates, and formal security sign-off.
• Verify operator readiness, including staffing, guard force deployment, SOP adoption, system monitoring, and contractual security obligations.
• Own turnover packages containing as-builts, test records, credentials, punch-list closure, residual-risk registers, and transition documentation.
• Represent security in design reviews, OAC meetings, and change management while escalating schedule and readiness risks.

Requirements

• Demonstrated delivery of physical security scopes for new-build data centers or comparable critical-infrastructure construction projects through turnover to operations.
• Experience running milestone or commissioning acceptance processes, including FAT/SAT, punch lists, turnover documentation, and formal sign-off.
• Experience holding operators, landlords, or vendors accountable for contractual security obligations using documented evidence.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent construction sites, author and revise requirements and process documents, and influence contractors, integrators, operators, and internal partners.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to work in the United States office network at least 25% of the time and travel as required.

Nice to have

• CPP, PSP, or commissioning credentials.
• Hyperscaler or major colocation new-build delivery experience.
• Experience on both sides of an operator-tenant relationship.
• Construction management or owner’s-representative experience.
• Experience in regulated or high-assurance environments.
