Material Planner (Supply Chain)

Location: Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $97,500–$136,500 USD per year, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Own weekly Clear-to-Build sessions with Purchasing across air, ground, and kits/accessories product lines.
• Provide early visibility into material status, shortages, and production risks for Purchasing, Production, and Contracts teams.
• Manage engineering-change effectivity dates to reduce excess and obsolescence while supporting production attainment.
• Align cross-functional priorities to mitigate risks to the production line.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering on accurate MBOM releases and make-versus-buy decisions.
• Maintain master data for suppliers, lead times, tiered pricing, and commodity classifications.

Requirements

• 2+ years of supply chain planning experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience running Clear-to-Build sessions and managing material planning from order release through production attainment.
• Strong understanding of MBOM management, make-versus-buy analysis, and engineering collaboration on bill-of-materials accuracy.
• Experience scaling supply chains from low-rate initial production to high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience with master data management and procurement decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related field, or equivalent supply chain experience.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with MRP systems for manufacturing material planning.
• Experience in aerospace, robotics, or electro-mechanical assembly supply chains with complex multi-level BOMs and long-lead components.
• Startup or high-growth company experience.
