Weld Examiner (Stainless Steel)

Location: Onsite at the San Luis Obispo, California facility, United States

Salary: $20–$28 per hour, depending on skills and experience

What you will do

• Visually inspect 100% of completed welds on tubing and components from 1/8-inch to 6-inch diameter.
• Evaluate welds and examination reports against ASME B31.3 or customer data sheet criteria using pass/fail standards.
• Work from instructions, drawings, parts lists, and tube configuration documentation; use SAP to access drawings and parts lists.
• Apply Ultra High Purity processes, measuring techniques, tools, and engineering specifications.
• Upload Weld Exam Reports to shared folders and maintain accurate, consistent documentation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area while supporting quality and on-time shipments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of TIG welding experience with stainless steel.
• 1–2 years of quality assurance experience with process piping.
• Ability to learn operating systems and locate drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds daily and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to work safely, follow instructions, maintain attention to detail, and work overtime or weekends when needed.
