What you will do

  • Support the development, licensing, construction, and operation of nuclear physical security programs.
  • Coordinate with engineering and design teams to implement barriers, access control, intrusion detection, assessment systems, training facilities, and security response positions.
  • Develop security life-cycle documents, physical security plans, training and qualification plans, contingency response plans, and project implementation plans.
  • Prepare and review licensing documentation, topical reports, technical materials, and responses to Nuclear Regulatory Commission requests for additional information.
  • Perform nuclear security assessments, audits, and compliance reviews supporting site protective strategies and contingency response plans.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and liaison for Access Authorization, Fitness For Duty, behavior observation, fatigue management, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder coordination.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited university and 15 years of direct experience developing and implementing nuclear security programs in operating plants or nuclear new-build projects.
  • Knowledge of and experience applying US NRC 10 CFR regulations and related NRC and Nuclear Energy Institute guidance.
  • Experience developing physical security implementation strategies, project plans, design concepts, and programs spanning nuclear plant construction through operation.
  • Experience interacting with Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff and preparing regulatory documentation.
  • Project management experience, including responsibility for project tasks and use of project management tools.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, presentation, teamwork, integrity, and organizational skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Professional.
