Principal Mechanical Engineer

What you will do

• Lead mechanical design for 2.4T optical transceiver modules, including housings, heat dissipation, optical alignment structures, and PCB integration.
• Develop and optimize high-volume assembly processes involving precision alignment, bonding, soldering, and sealing.
• Perform mechanical tolerance analysis, thermal analysis, and reliability assessments.
• Collaborate with electrical, optical, manufacturing, supplier, and contract manufacturing teams on specifications, tooling, fixtures, and product ramp-up.
• Support design reviews, failure analysis, yield improvement, and manufacturability initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design and process development for optical, communications, or precision electronic products.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of thermal design, tolerance stack-up, and high-precision assembly.
• Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
