Factory Site Manager (Optical Transceivers)

Location: Taiwan; onsite role with rotating day and night shifts

What you will do

• Oversee daily production execution for 800G and 1.6T optical transceiver assembly and test lines.
• Build a prototype and testing environment for new product introduction and training.
• Monitor output, scrap, first-pass yield, defects, work-in-progress, inventory, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure adherence to cleanroom discipline, fiber handling, ESD, optical safety, 5S, standard work, and quality procedures.
• Supervise, coach, evaluate, recruit, and train production operators while building a flexible, multi-skilled workforce.
• Partner with process, test, and manufacturing engineers on pilot-to-volume transitions, capacity ramping, DFM, DFT, quality, and root-cause investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in optical transceivers, optical components, fiber assembly, or electronics manufacturing.
• Previous production supervisor or team lead experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong understanding of production control, WIP management, and line balancing.
• Availability to work rotating day and night shifts in Taiwan.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with shop-floor management or MES systems are required.
