Product Engineer (Optical Transceivers)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end manufacturing processes for the optical transceiver product roadmap.
• Control product, process, and material changes in line with QMS requirements.
• Drive product yield, quality, reliability, operational productivity, and manufacturing cost improvements.
• Analyze manufacturing test results and execute improvement plans targeting yield, throughput, cycle time, and scrap reduction.
• Coordinate qualification testing with quality, design, and process engineering teams.
• Maintain manufacturing BOMs, product documentation, specifications, and manufacturing reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, plus 7 years of experience in high-volume optical transceiver manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with optical transceiver manufacturing processes and product manufacturing BOMs.
• Expertise in data analysis, statistical process control (SPC), report generation, quality systems, and quality standards.
• Knowledge of optics failure-analysis processes and tools, reliability testing, and quality-control best practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and geographically diverse cross-functional teams.
• Good command of English for verbal and written communication, including in-person and virtual presentations; international travel is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with wire bonding, die bonding, active optical alignment, product testing, or burn-in for transceiver or optical assembly products.
