Quantum Software Engineer

What you will do

• Implement and optimize quantum circuits for execution on target hardware architectures.
• Develop and maintain tools and frameworks for compiling, transpiling, and deploying quantum circuits.
• Profile and benchmark circuit performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements.
• Translate quantum algorithm designs into hardware-ready implementations in collaboration with research and hardware teams.
• Contribute to internal quantum software infrastructure and tooling.

Requirements

• MS degree in physics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong software engineering skills in scientific computing environments, using Python, C++, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience designing quantum circuits and working with quantum software frameworks such as Qiskit, PennyLane, or Cirq.
• Understanding of quantum gate sets, circuit compilation, and hardware constraints.
• Ability to deliver robust, maintainable code in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of quantum error-correction codes and fault-tolerant circuit synthesis.
• Experience with noise modeling, error mitigation, or hardware-aware compilation.
• Familiarity with classical HPC or distributed computing for quantum simulation.
• Contributions to open-source quantum software projects.
