TL;DR
ADAS Calibration and Validation Engineer (Automotive): Calibrating and validating ADAS features for electric pickup trucks and rugged SUVs with an accent on vehicle variants, software readiness, and safety compliance. Focus on developing HIL test cases, measuring calibration-trip progress, analyzing complex system data, and coordinating validation milestones across engineering disciplines.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; four days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and travel.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Calibrate and validate ADAS features in collaboration with drive, chassis, steering, and other engineering teams.
  • Coordinate ADAS calibration and validation deliverables, feature maturity, software readiness, and program milestones.
  • Develop calibration variants for different vehicles and trim levels.
  • Plan and support ADAS calibration trips, including deliverables and development-progress measurement.
  • Work with the virtual testing team to develop HIL test cases and expand virtual testing coverage.
  • Track ADAS technology, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in ADAS feature development or calibration release within the automotive industry.
  • Experience with calibration configuration and release management using tools such as INCA and Creta.
  • Familiarity with CAN and Ethernet protocols and tools including CANoe, CANalyzer, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions; familiarity with ISO 26262, SAE J3016, and FMVSS.
  • Ability to operate a vehicle in the United States and work four days per week from the Charlotte office.
