Sr. Test & Validation Engineer – HV-PM

What you will do

• Lead system integration, testing, validation, and documentation of high-voltage power management functions in electric vehicles.
• Test HV power-up and power-down, pre-charge and active discharge, DCDC control, energy and power management, climate functions, driver information, fault management, and failsafe modes.
• Define test plans and strategies, generate test cases, execute tests, and prepare reports according to functional requirements, safety goals, and vehicle milestones.
• Own function-release testing and documentation at system and vehicle level, including vehicle updates and instrumentation.
• Analyze failures, report issues, track resolutions, and plan bug-fix testing.
• Coordinate testing with powertrain, laboratory, component-owner, and VCU software teams across Santa Clara and Nanjing.

Requirements

• More than 8 years of relevant automotive industry experience, including more than 5 years in powertrain integration, test, and validation for HEV, PHEV, or BEV vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of electric vehicle functions, including high-voltage power and energy management and HV safety.
• Strong understanding of HV and electrical/electronic vehicle architectures, vehicle development processes, thermal management, and testing plans.
• Proficiency with CANoe, CANape/INCA, and equipment for low-voltage and high-voltage analog measurements.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
• Familiarity with international and national electrical safety standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with VCU, BMS, charger software or hardware development.
• Experience with EV HIL, LabCar, PIL test benches and vehicle build-up.
• Experience in electrical/electronic integration, test, and validation.
• Experience with functional safety or failure mode analysis at system or component level.
